Nalychevsky Nature Park is located not far from Yelizovo and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, on the northeast side of Koryaksky and Avachinsky Volcanoes, which overlook both cities. This park is a bowl of mountains and volcanoes nestling spectacular hills, birch forests, tundra, and many hot springs. Nalychevsky Park is a true microcosm of the Peninsula. Here you can venture into almost any kind of landscape found on Kamchatka. Hotsprings, a product of the ring of volcanoes forming the boundaries of the park, provide tired hikers with a wonderful respite. Hikes take one up to alpine meadows, high into the mountains, or down along rivers and to hidden lakes. This destination we recommend with or without your own guide because maps and trails point the way for experienced hikers.
